Shipping policy

Simple and Grand does not ship products through standard parcel carriers. All planters and seasonal décor are delivered locally by our team at carefully selected times throughout the year.

Our delivery model is seasonal and weather based to ensure your planters arrive looking their best and thrive outdoors.


Seasonal Delivery Model

Simple and Grand delivers planters at the beginning of each season based on regional weather conditions. Delivery dates are approximate because every season is different.

We wait until conditions are appropriate so you do not have to worry about frost, excessive heat, or other weather related risks.

Customers will be notified via email and or text message a few days in advance of their delivery.


Seasonal Delivery Windows

Delivery timing varies by location and season.

Spring

  • KS MO: March
  • MN WI IA NE: April

Summer

  • KS MO IA NE: May
  • MN WI: Late May Early June

Fall

  • MN WI IA NE KS MO: September

Winter

  • MN WI IA NE: November
  • KS MO: Early December

These windows are estimates and may shift slightly depending on weather patterns.


Delivery Areas

Simple and Grand currently delivers only to select zip codes in:

  • Minnesota
  • Wisconsin
  • Iowa
  • Nebraska
  • Kansas
  • Missouri

Availability is limited by zip code. Customers must enter their zip code on the seasonal planter page to confirm service availability.

We do not offer national or international shipping.


Delivery Address Requirements

Delivery addresses do not need to match billing addresses, as long as the delivery location is within our service area.

Valid billing information is required for all orders. Orders will not be delivered without proper billing details on file.


Delivery Day Process

On delivery day, our team will:

  • Place your new seasonal planter in your requested location
  • Remove the previous season’s arrangement unless instructed otherwise
  • Handle composting and recycling of removed materials

We aim to make the transition between seasons seamless and hands free.


Keeping Your Existing Planter

Customers may choose to keep their existing planter at no additional charge.

If you would like to keep your planter when the next season arrives:

  • Retain your care card from the current season
  • Display the card prominently in the planter with the word “KEEP” facing forward

This signals our delivery team to leave the existing planter in place while delivering the new one.


Permanent Containers and Retrieval

Permanent containers are provided as part of a rental program and remain the property of Simple and Grand.

If a customer cancels service or skips a season:

  • The insert (flowers) is left with the customer unless otherwise specified
  • The permanent container will be retrieved during the appropriate seasonal window

Approximate retrieval timing:

  • Spring: March April
  • Summer: May June
  • Fall: September
  • Winter: November December

If a container is not out or readily available for pickup, the customer will be charged for the container. The container may be returned within 14 days for a full refund.


Missed or Delayed Deliveries

If you have concerns about your delivery or the condition of your planter, please contact Simple and Grand as soon as possible after delivery.

Planters are eligible for fix or replacement within 14 days of delivery when care instructions have been followed.
